 Hard Fill SticksDesigned to fill minor and medium defects in wood furnishings and rigid plastic. Use for repairs on practically any flat surface, including tops, fronts, sides, doors, drawers and floors. Available in 70+ different colors to match surface finishing and blend repairs. Requires a burn-in knife and leveling tool to carefully remove excess wax without harming the surrounding wood surface. How to Apply the Hard Fill Stick Step 1Match the color of the Hard Fill stick as closely as possible to the color of the wood. Keep in mind, that multiple hard fill sticks may be blended using the burn-in knife. Step 2Hold the hard fill stick over the damaged area and let the hard fill cover the tip of the tool. Once the hard fill is on the tip of the burn-in knife, slowly place the melted wood solution into the repair. Make sure that the wood repair wax covers the entire flaw - use an old credit card to press the warm solution into all areas of the repair. Step 3After it has dried, take the Hard Fill Leveling Tool and remove excess the excess solution. This tool will not harm or scratch the surrounding areas. Once the excess material has been removed, take a microfiber rag or paper towel and buff the repaired area. This fill stick was very good for filling in knot holes on our farmhouse table I built so crumbs would fall into them. I wanted something that wasn''t shiny or glassy like epoxy and this did the trick very well! I thought it was a little pricey because it is SMALL, like 4"long X 3/4"tall X 3/4" wide. It is a much harder wax than crayons. I cut off tiny pieces, put them in the knot holes, then lit a match to melt them and mold them in so I didn''t have to buy any special tool.
