While unpacking the bed frame from the box it had an awful strong kind of barn or rodent smell. I noticed a lot of black pellets on different pieces of the frame but continued to assemble the bed because it looked to be in decent shape otherwise. I slept on the bed that night and left for work the next day without noticing anything strange aside from the smell that never faded. That next day when I returned home from work there were termites all over my bedroom. All over the bed and my bedroom floor. A lot of them were dying but not all. I did what I could to rapidly clean and remove my mattress from the bed frame. The next day there were even more termites surrounding the bed and in my bedroom. Termites have never been an issue in my apartment and I have now have to pay for an exterminator as well as the $100 removal fee of this infested bed frame. I hate to report back with this crazy awful issue but I am hoping to warn other customers of what they could also experience and of course to be compensated. I don’t know where exactly your manufacturers are located but this has been disgusting and I will never, ever buy from your company nor encourage others to, again. I will also never buy furniture or home goods through Amazon again. I was so excited about this cute bed frame and am now out close to $1000 after buying the bed, having to remove it, get an exterminator, and buy a completely new bed all over again.
