Anna G.5.0 out of 5 starsVerified Purchase Brown vs Clear Gel: Explained Reviewed in the United States on November 1, 2020Size: 0.53 Ounce (Pack of 2) People are saying this stuff shouldn''t be brown. One with clove (which makes the gel brown) and one without clove (which makes the gel clear). The clove one will always say "Nuby" at the top, and the clove-free one will always say "Dr. Talbot''s" at the top. The packaging is almost identical. Why they chose to have such confusing packaging, who the heck knows, but it''s annoying.

That said, the Nuby one with the clove works great and is a 5-star product! I''ve used it on myself and it effectively numbs the gums on-contact. The Dr. Talbot''s one is complete crap and doesn''t do anything. It''s the clove that provides the numbing. So opt for the brown-colored gel always by making sure it''s branded with Nuby at the top.

It says manufactured in 10/19. Highly recommend and buy for your baby, it works. It does not smell bad, it smells like CLOVE! 24 people found this helpful Helpful Report Anna Walker5.0 out of 5 starsVerified Purchase Great! THIS IS NOT THE GEL MOST OF US RELY ON TO RELIEVE THE PAIN ASSOCIATED WITH TEETHING!!! It’s brown, has clove and is intended to calm babies who are mad because they are teething!!!! If you actually want to help treat the symptoms get the SOOTHING GEL pictured on the right. 7 people found this helpful Helpful Report Angie2.0 out of 5 starsVerified Purchase Did not relief our teething baby, only distracted him a bit Reviewed in the United States on May 12, 2020Size: 0.53 Ounce (Pack of 2) We purchased this hoping it would help our teething baby,he gets fussy and cranky and very upset that his gums are hurting. See more We purchased this hoping it would help our teething baby,he gets fussy and cranky and very upset that his gums are hurting. We unsubscribed from receiving children''s orajel because we noticed that the orajel was not effective for our baby''s teething pain. We decided to try these out and they do a little more than the orajel does but still doesn''t relief our baby from his teething pain. (It more so just distracts him a bit and then back to crying)

TIP: the brown tinge IS Supposed to brown because it is made of colves. My husband also tried it and he said it tasted like cloves nothing too bad.

Overall it does a little more than orajel but does not relief our teething baby. At this point we are just waiting for him to finish teething. ☹️
7 people found this helpful Helpful Report Wen5.0 out of 5 starsVerified Purchase It’s SUPPOSED TO BE BROWN BECAUSE OF THE CLOVE IN IT! See more Do NOT listen to all these people who are saying it’s not supposed to be brown and somethings wrong, or that they changed the formula! All that is false! There are TWO different kinds of teething gel made by this company obviously these people don’t read the name of what they buy for their babies.
There is the TOOTH GEL which has clove and is an AMBER/BROWN color and the SOOTHING GEL which is CLEAR.
Both tubes look exactly the same but have the different names right on them. So these people are buying the wrong item and then getting all crazy saying stuff that’s not even true LOL! Read the labels and pay attention folks!

Now about this product it does have a strong clove taste so not all babies might like it but it does work quite well! My babies didn’t mind the taste at all and it definitely helped with their teething. I prefer this one over the clear one because in my opinion it works much better and is stronger due to the clove in it. I would 100% recommend!!

For those people complaining they received an expired product, send it back and get a replacement it’s that easy. You run that risk when you buy blindly over the internet and the people packaging your stuff are just that people and they probably don’t give a damn or even pay attention to the expiration dates in the warehouse. I’m sure they are too busy just trying to get all the orders out. So stop complaining and send it back. That doesn’t reflect on the product itself or the company that makes it.

The color directed me to look at the expiration and sure enough it expired July of this year!!!

Moms be mindful!
