Since these are the plain white I do not have to worry about them being discontinued and have since bought many additional plates for holidays. The only bummer is the bowls are pretty shallow so not great for soup but work for everything else. I''ve used Corelle Livingware for 40 years. This will be my 3rd set. The first was a floral set I received many, many years ago as a gift. I only had 8 place settings of that. Then I inherited a set of 20 from an aunt in a different floral pattern that I never really liked. FINALLY, I am happy to own 12 place settings of this beautiful white livingware. I am so happy to find that it is still made in the USA. I ordered 2 of these dinner sets, and a number of serving and supplemental pieces, including the luncheon plates. All was packed very well and arrived in good order.

I don''t know why there are bad reviews on here because of people not reading the product description. Just because someone did not see that it clearly says "Dinner Set" in the description (thus giving a hint that there are no luncheon plates in the set); or even somehow missed that the description of what''s in the box explicitly says "Bread and Butter Plates", not "Luncheon Plates", then they should not be removing stars from the product. They made a mistake. That does not merit a poor review of the product. In my opinion, there is no way to go wrong with Corelle Livingware. It''s dishwasher and microwave safe, and will almost always withstand being dropped or clanked against the sink. In addition to all of that, it is simple and elegant on the table. It can be dressed up or down for any occasion. I am so happy to finally have a complete set of a pattern I chose for myself.
